Allegiant Home Care is a home care agency, part of the AccordCare group of companies, serving clients in downstate New York, with offices in Brooklyn, Westbury and Holbrook. Services range from companion care and personal care (help with bathing, grooming and dressing, meal preparation, laundry, medication reminders and rides to appointments) to private duty nursing, clinically complex care, and Alzheimer's and dementia care. Clients include older adults who want to age in place, people with catastrophic injuries and others who need skilled care at home. A veteran care program helps families understand the VA Aid and Attendance pension. Each client receives a personalized care plan, and caregivers are supported by a clinical team. Allegiant accepts many payment sources, including Medicaid, private pay, long-term care insurance, workers' compensation and private insurance. Its main office takes calls 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
